Update: Because I get a lot of comments an mails about this thing, I want to clarify some points:
- The license of the picture is CC-BY-SA 2.0 Germany.
- I obtained the list of contributors by the member lists of the launchpad groups of the teams, mentioned in the Ubuntu Team Wiki. I know that's a bit problematic:
- People who are contributing to hardy, but not member of a launchpad group, are not listed.
- Due to the fact that some launchpad groups are open for everyone, there are some people in the list, who don't make contributions anymore.
- I've probably forgotten some groups.
So the name list is far away from being complete. Sorry to everybody who's working on ubuntu and not mentioned here. It would be great if someone could provide better statistics (maybe an idea for a nice project like Ubuntu Counter?).

Cool !!!!
Any way you can do this with ~4x the resolution so we can print out a nice 16x20 poster of it?
Can you PLEASE publish the original image so i can make myself a poster too.
I'd like the original image to make a poster for myself as well :)
Begging your pardon, but under what licence are you releasing the image?
And people used to say there was no way to reference all that helped... thank you.
How did you create this image? If it is using an image, and then a script to recreate the image using the text, any chance of posting it please?
Where was the list of contributors obtained? Also, is there a higher resolution version available - a link to it would be cool.
Thank you for your comments! I've updated the posting to answer all your questions. There you'll find the 300 DPI version, too.
